Diamond Harry to sparkle in list of jump horses to follow this season

As all predicted Diamond Harry had a winning start in Hennessy Cognac Gold cup. Eliades run wanted the honour of half-brother Amberiegh house but doesn’t shown the ability so far.It was nominated a Paddy Power Gold Cup possible, but only delivered the goods 12 months too late. Rebellion managed to fulfil his potential and get his head in front in both of his starts last season, but it will surely be over fences next for this enormous gelding rather than giving him good mark over hurdles. He narrowly fails to make the list this time.

Talking Horses

Ruby Walsh and Rangitoto produced a stirring late run up the stands rails to thrill favourite backers in the Paddy Power Intermediate Hurdle. The 9-4 favourite was Walsh’s fifth winner of the three day Open meeting – and another for trainer Paul Nicholls.

The runner-up, Timesawastin (14-1), had hurdled brilliantly to make all the running until faltering for a few strides on the run to the line. Perpetually (10-1) was a close third, with Joker Choker (20-1) fourth. Chris Corrigan
